I’m a native Pittsburgher and I began my career in 2007 as a design intern while completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. After my internship, I worked for a contract furniture representative group. Ready to move back into residential design and to a warmer climate, I relocated to Atlanta. While I enjoyed all that Atlanta offered, I longed to move back to Pittsburgh. I’ve been back since 2011 practicing interior design. One aspect of designing for clients that I love is getting to know them on a personal level. I find a lot of inspiration on Houzz, Pinterest and Instagram, but I’m inspired most by color, form and texture. If I find a beautiful chair, a great rug or an intriguing piece of fabric, my mind immediately begins to create a room. I enjoy watching a space transform – that part is the most fun! I feel that if you change a space and make it better – function better, feel better and look better, you can change a life.
Aside from interior design, I help with creative direction for several other Pittsburgh companies ranging from furniture stores to real estate development firms. I love Pittsburgh and the quality of life is really good here. I’m always up for trying a new restaurant and I enjoy spending time walking through Frick Park with my Great Dane, Jackie as well as shopping and visiting museums and art galleries. I also love Mini Coopers (I’ve had three)!
